OpenPocket POS
A free, offline-first point-of-sale app for Android and iOS: ring up sales, scan barcodes, print receipts, track stock and see profit, with no account and no internet connection required.
The product idea
Small shops are offered point-of-sale software that assumes a steady connection, a monthly licence and an account before the first sale. Where connectivity is unreliable, that stack stops the till working.
The experience
Everything needed to sell runs on the phone itself and stays free. Cloud sync is the one paid extra, at $2 a month, for sellers who want their data on more than one device. The source is MIT licensed and public.
At a glance
